Workshop for The Seventh Fire by Lisa C. Ravensbergen
In August 2018 Erin was invited to participate in a design and script development workshop to support a new play written and developed by her cherished collaborator Lisa C. Ravensbergen (director of Café Daughter).
Delinquent Theatre hosted this workshop for the new play entitled 'The Seventh Fire' at Progress Lab 1422 in Vancouver. A team of 9 incredible women collaborated for several weeks to bring new energy and possibilities to Lisa's incredible and challenging new work. This play is deeply poetic in nature and the development of sound and visual imagery in conjunction with the texts shifting and growing evolution throughout the time this team spent together culminated in a beautiful presentation to the public at the end of this phase of the process. Stay tuned for more news of this play's further development and full production in upcoming seasons!

Inverted Tree: exploring the concept of a character who's perspective is looking up towards our human position from below. Examining how our workshop developments and ideas could apply in a theatre space and possible audience perspectives/positioning within the performers created world. Night sky: exploring how these human characters relate to what's above them- the sky, below them, the earth. Visualizing analysis in quadrants, expanding my conceptual possibilities for how script can be described and understood. Challenging my internal positioning and growing through process with Lisa and all the women supporting this project. Results of this workshop process captivates an audience of professional peers who have gathered to help deepen our understanding of this project.
