In the spring of 2015 Erin was the projected media designer for a play called 'The Photo' by Dana Rayment. Subsequent to the theatrical production Dana contacted Erin about collaborating on a one minute film using much of the footage from the projection design.

The design involved the use of exclusively found footage. Dana had collected several reels of 16mm film with relevant footage and together they digitized the material for manipulation in Adobe After Effects.

The one minute silent film entitled 'One decides[the why]' was presented by FAVA as part of their One Minute Film Fest in 2015 on the Edmonton City Transit train stations.

I am currently living in ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan) on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of First Nations and Métis people.

Edmonton (as it is known colonially) is and has been home to a diverse range of Indigenous nations and peoples, including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Tsuutʼina, Inuit, and many others.

Since time immemorial, this land has been a meeting place for this diverse range of Indigenous peoples, who have enriched this place with their histories, languages, and cultures. As a settler I have benefitted from Indigenous generosity, hospitality, and knowledge and for that I wishes to express her gratitude.
